29 Mar Does Anyone Doubt The Republic Is Safe?

Senate Republicans have certainly proved themselves to be tough negotiators in dealing with the “Majority” Democrats (well, the Republicans seem to think the Dems are the Majority). The Republicans spent most of the impeachment trial trying to find some way to end it with some aura of dignity. Tough job, considering how they have handled it. Talk about snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

THE GOOD NEWS: CNN reports (with a straight face) that the President has promised “not to gloat.”

THE BAD NEWS: Well, you know the bad news.

The 106th is going to be a long congressional season for the good guys.
