Six Years Later: The Clear Connection Between Barack Obama and The Weathermen

If you happened to see the Fox News, Megan Kelly (The Kelly File) interview with Bill Ayres, you witnessed a master of propaganda and misdirection, as Ayers tried to slip past Kelly’s direct questions. According to Ayres, he’s just a concerned citizen taking part in our democratic debate. How patriotic! The truth is, Ayres, his wife Bernadine Dohrn and the rest of the Weather Underground were and are true domestic terrorists out to destroy American society. Not only do they still roam our streets, but, in fact, live quite well off the society they professed to hate and sought to destroy. And the Weatherman’s ultimate victory, 40 years later, may just be Barack Obama. Just before the election of Barack Obama in 2008, it was quite shocking to see that a forty-year old, seemingly forgotten radical group called “Weatherman” was getting so much attention. Of course, Obama denied any connection ...

Some Thoughts on the Article V Issue

I've written many articles in the past concerning my opposition to a Constitutional Convention (Con Con). I’ve also helped in successful fights in Ohio and Kansas to stop Con Con Resolutions. But recently there is a new twist in the effort to amend the Constitution to preserve freedom. It’s called an Article V Convention of the States. Proponents say it answers my concerns over the dangers of a Con Con, and so many activists have asked me where I stand on this new effort. So here are a few thoughts. I certainly feel the pain of patriotic Americans over the state of our Constitution. The original document has been basically put in a museum on Connecticut Ave. in Washington, DC and forgotten. We are told it is old and outdated. Not relevant to today's age of technology, and moral reality. Old guys in powdered wigs wrote it. They knew nothing ...

The Alamo: Hallowed American Ground or UN Captive?

In 1836, 150 courageous and dedicated men died defending the Alamo. They fought in opposition to the rise of authoritarian big government as Mexico abandoned its Republic. The men of the Alamo were essentially betrayed and sacrificed by their own Texas government because of indecision and bickering by its political leadership. Such a betrayal is about to happen again as our government is moving forward with plans to place the Alamo, symbol of American freedom, into the hands of the United Nations as a World Heritage Site. As usual, when government bureaucrats attempt such a move they know will bring criticism and anger, they start their denials in advance. We are always assured that a UN designation to American historic sites mean nothing. “It’s just an honorary designation that could help tourism to the site, and thus help the local economy”. We are constantly assured by government officials. And so ...

In Defense of the TEA Party

Just a few years ago some American citizens came together to demand change. They were fed up with decades of out of control government growth; confiscation of their hard-earned income through ever-increasing taxes and unending regulations invading every aspect of their lives. Things were racing out of control. Every aspect of American society was changing and not for the better. Freedoms and rights that are guaranteed under the Constitution – the founding document of our nation and law of the land, were disappearing. Elected representatives turned a deaf ear to  concerned citizens. It seemed those in power simply didn’t care. No matter the outcome of elections, nothing changed. There was a sense of hopelessness, helplessness and frustration as concerned citizens saw the America they loved disappearing. The answer? Enter the TEA Party – declaring “Taxed Enough Already.” It was time to make their voice heard. It was time to directly ...

The Power of One

“If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Barack Obama, Roanoke, VA July 13, 2012 Thomas Edison tried over 1,000 times to come up with the successful process to make an incandescent light bulb work. When someone remarked that he had failed 1,000 times, he said, “I have successfully discovered 1,000 ways to not make a light bulb.” Other men might have given up and failed. Edison was one man with a determination to succeed. Once he had found the one correct way, he announced it to the world and performed endless demonstrations to prove its worth and safety. Finally he was ready to bring it into practical use. To bring the world electric light, Edison offered to build the complete infrastructure necessary to light homes in a specific section of New York City. Immediately, the gas light industry felt the threat and ...

When Loving Your Country Marks You As A Domestic Terrorist

When I first became involved in political issues and events some 45 years ago as a young man just out of high school, it was because I believed in the ideals of our Founding Fathers. I had a young man’s zeal for the American dream of individuals living their lives free of government control and harassment. I was comfortable in the knowledge that I lived in the greatest nation on earth, where I could speak my mind; choose my own future; and nothing but my own limitations would stand in my way. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were my guidelines. I learned of them in a public school classroom, where we were taught why the American system of free enterprise and limited government were the reasons the United States had the highest standard of living in the world. It was the reason our solders were proud to serve ...

R.I.P Henry Lamb and Tommy Cryer

The freedom movement lost two courageous leaders this past month. Our movement is poorer for their passing, but our nation’s richer from their lives. Henry Lamb is the man who first discovered Agenda 21 and sounded the alarm. He attended the international meetings and challenged participants to question the programs being proposed. He was alarmed and wanted the world to know what was coming. As he somehow managed to raise the money for his plane tickets to the UN meetings, he prepared for the trip by buying stocks of crackers and other cheap foodstuffs to take with him. That’s how he existed while most UN attendees managed to stay in the finest hotels and rent every available limo in town. Somehow, Henry managed to organize an unofficial nationwide network of radio programs and was able to broadcast directly from the UN meetings, telling the nation what the UN was up ...

The Rise of the Forgotten Man

"The big difference is, you've got me," boasted Barack Obama in January 2010. He was responding to Democrats' concerns over looming mid-term losses as they recalled the disastrous elections of 1994. Unfortunately, 52 incumbent Democratic House members and 2 fellow Senators did not have him as they vacated their seats the following January in the worst Congressional turnover since 1948. When Obama, the campaigner says, "me," he refers to his battalions of public and private union employees, legions of giggling college students on the receiving end of Tweets and texts, an Organizing for America political army and a myriad of linked campaign sites funneling to mybarack.com. "Me" means hundreds of millions in contributions from fawning advocates, salivating ideologues, business opportunists and agitated victims of Mr. Obama's charismatic demagoguery. When the jolt of his irrevocable 2012 defeat settles, few enthusiasts will accompany Mr. Obama on his denouement in January 2013. What ...

What to Do When You Don’t Like Any of These Candidates

I originally issued this article four years ago, just after John McCain had wrapped up the Republican nomination, and while Obama and Hillary were still slugging it out. Today, four years later, it’s the same feeling of dissatisfaction from our choices – just different names. How do we assure next time it will be any different? How do we take our country back? Here is a possible solution, but we’ve got to start the process now for 2016. TAD Hillary Clinton. John McCain. Barack Obama. Those are our choices for the next president of the United States. Are you happy with that selection? If not, what is your alternative? As the saying goes, “The lesser of two evils is still evil.” Beyond the presidential race we have congressional candidates, governors, state legislators, county commissioners, mayors, and city council candidates. Are you happy with whom the parties have chosen to offer ...

Global Poverty Act is Back: Is Bill Gates the World’s Richest Useful Idiot?

He might be a whiz kid at creating computer software, but beyond that Bill Gates has proven time and again that he hasn’t a clue about why or how freedom works. He constantly teams up with anti-free market types like the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) to produce “educational programs” in his software packages, misdirecting unsuspecting children with political propaganda. In 2002 he gave the NWF $600,000 worth of software to help these environmental radicals run their programs to block the drilling of American oil. Apparently Gates doesn’t understand that he needs oil to create power to run computers. Most recently his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated $3 million to eight universities to reinvent the flush toilet. Environmentalists call that device “one of the world’s most destructive habits.” Clearly Gates is a captive of his own wealth, suffering the usual rich man’s guilt over being rich – rushing full speed ...

Constitutional Convention Can Not Be Controlled

As Americans become more frightened by the disastrous direction our government is taking, and more frustrated that elected representatives are not listening to them, the demand is growing for drastic action. In recent months the action most heard in state houses across the nation is a rising call for a new Constitutional Convention (Con Con). Supporters somehow think a Con Con is the solution to saving our Republic. They want to amend the Constitution to force a balance budget. They want to shore up ambiguous language to make the meaning clear. They want to assure there is no doubt what America is and should be. For most pushing such an agenda, their intentions are honest. Their solution will be a disaster for one simple reason – no one can control a Constitutional Convent. It doesn’t matter how well intentioned its purpose. It doesn’t matter how well planned. It doesn’t matter ...

“Progressives” and the Art of Civility

When concerned Americans objected to Obama's health care scheme and turned out at town hall meetings in strong opposition, they were called racists and fringe radicals. The Department of Homeland Security then released a report calling those Americans who opposed Obama's policies “potential domestic terrorist.” As more and more Americans took up the protests against an ever growing federal government, the “Progressives” took to the CNN/MSNBC/New York Times media cabal to accuse the growing Tea Party of violence and then called for “civility” in political debate. That of course meant NO DEBATE. Its got to be their way or ... as Teamster leader James Hoffa put it... ”Let's take these sons of bitches out.” Nice, very civil. If we said it we would be accused of promoting violence. But these are the compassionate progressives, not the racist, violent Tea Party. Following are more of their compassionate, civil quotes and actions, ...

Major New Weapon for the Freedom Fighter’s Arsenal

America is being transformed. Americans know something is very wrong and are desperately digging for answers. Spending is out of control. Rules and regulations are enforced over every aspect of our lives. Not only can we not build on our private property, but our rivers and streams are becoming off limits; energy prices are skyrocketing as our government refuses to even consider using American energy reserves that are locked away, apparently forever. American jobs are disappearing oversees. Our money is growing more worthless every day and taxes are going up on everything we buy, eat, drive, or wear. Schools don’t teach. healthcare isn’t about health. Investments translate to bankruptcy. And Social Security isn’t secure. We just held an election demanding that the run- away federal budget and government intrusion be reigned in. But after a lot of fast maneuvering, hot rhetoric and back slapping, basically nothing was cut. how can ...

The Third American Revolution

Statement by Tom DeWeese - Freedom Action National Conference Valley Forge, PA - August 14, 2010 The revolution of 1776 was not just an exercise by armed men seeking to overthrow their current government – as had been done so many times throughout history. It wasn’t a desperate attempt to replace a bad king with a new one – backed by the usual hope that this time, this one would finally turn a kind, benevolent ear toward the pleas of the people. Such revolutions had been fought for centuries. Up to 1776 none of them had resulted in the desired goals. Always the newly installed despot learned quickly how to plunder the people, gain power and riches for themselves, while holding out the carrot – the promise of a better day. Not until 1776 did a few scholarly men in a rural, backward, isolated land figure it out. They studied ...

The Forces of Freedom Return to Valley Forge

May 21 , 2010 By Tom DeWeese Growing numbers of concerned, dedicated Americans are joining the nationwide protests against ever-higher taxes; the outrage of Obamacare; the bailouts and the Federal Reserve; the growing government surveillance society; and the destruction of private property rights through policies including Sustainable Development. The question now among these new activists is “what’s the next step?” It’s time for action, and to that end, today I am announcing the Freedom Action National Conference, to be held August 12 – 14, 2010 at the Dolce Hotel in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Local action, from strengthening State 10th Amendment rights, to exposing the efforts of organizations like the International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI), is the focus of the Freedom Action National Conference. If we stand firm at home, against federal mandates and international policies, we can go a long way toward limiting the power and growth of ...

Powerful Forces Now Calling for a Constitutional Convention

April 27, 2010 By Tom DeWeese In December, 2008, my American Policy Center (APC) led a fight to stop Ohio from becoming the 33rd state to call for a Constitutional Convention (Con Con). In the 1980’s 32 other states had passed Con Con resolutions for the specific purpose of passing a balanced budget amendment. Had that resolution passed the Ohio legislature, we would have been just one state away from such an event. We argued then that one cannot call a Con Con to discuss just one issue. Once a Con Con is in place, there is no controlling the agenda. We fought to stop the Con Con because of fear. Today there is massive ignorance among the American people about the Constitution. Worse, there are powerful forces who consider that document to be antiquated and a hindrance to their vision of an all powerful government. These things, and more, ...

Freedom Movement Faces Dire Threats From Within

April 20, 2010 By Thomas DeWeese After more than forty years as an activist in the fight to restore the American Republic, I have never been more positive that the goal could now actually be achievable. The Tea Party movement represents the awakening of the great American sleeping giant of freedom. It is the most exciting change to take place in the last 100 years. Politicians are shuttering in its wake. Political strategists are trying to figure how to deal with it. Bad policy has been stopped or slowed. And massive change from the ballot box appears on the horizon of the next election. However, some very dark clouds are gathering over the movement. The freedom fighters and their precious movement are being stalked by clandestine predators, quietly creating discord and suspicion among their ranks. If not exposed and stopped, the only result can be the destruction of the movement, ...

Bill Clinton’s Massive War Chest

March 31, 2010 By Thomas A. DeWeese Many Americans believe Bill Clinton has spent his years away from the White House simply enjoying the good life of an ex-president. He gets a full security team; travel expense around the world; a cool presidential library equipped with full living quarters; the best tables at the fanciest eating establishments; huge speaking fees to share his own two cents worth of opinion on any given issue; he gets to show his face on television as an appointed spokesman for the latest disaster relief project; and sometimes even gets to represent the United States at some international meeting. A fun life, certainly. But such a description in no way represents the reality of Bill Clinton’s true impact on the world since leaving the White House. In truth, Bill Clinton has been a very busy boy, continuing to carry out the global agenda he orchestrated ...

Obama Sends “Stimulus” Funds to Phantom Congressional Districts

Obama Sends "Stimulus" Funds to Phantom Congressional Districts March 18, 2010 By Thomas A. DeWeese To promote bragging rights for how much good the stimulus money was doing for America, the Obama Administration set up a website called “Recovery.gov.” Recorded on the site were details by zip code and congressional district as to how much money was sent there and how many new jobs were created as a result. It was a great piece of public relations where news reporters and politicians could find and quote the latest “good news for the economy.” However, there was one small problem. The Administration didn’t count on a group called New Mexico Watchdog, a project of the Rio Grande Foundation. While researching the site, the Foundation’s investigative research journalist Jim Scarantino noticed something strange. It seems the site was reporting money going to several New Mexico congressional districts that do not exist. The ...
