Slaves of the United Nations: Their Most Dangerous Meeting Ever!

March 13, 2002 By Alan Caruba Next week, March 18 through March 21, is going to determine whether liberty continues to exist in the world or whether everyone will fall pray to the schemes of the United Nations to become a one-world government imposing a New World Order. My friend, Henry Lamb, the chairman of Sovereignty International, recently wrote about the similarities between Hitler's mad dreams of global dominance and the United Nations' careful, slow creep and crawl toward the same goal. In the end, just as the United States and its allies put an end to Herr Hitler's villainy, the US remains the only power on Earth capable of ending the nightmare of enslavement by the global government plotters and schemers in the United Nations. To make things worse, President Bush will be among the fifty world leaders attending the conference and one can only wonder if he will ...

Global Taxation Moves Closer

March 13, 2002 By Henry Lamb "It will never happen," was the almost universal response to our first reports of global taxation nearly a decade ago. The folks at the United Nations, however, believe that it will happen – and soon. In fact, another World Conference is being planned for March 18-22, 2002, in Monterrey, Mexico, to consider the recommendations of a special High Level Panel on Financing for Development, that has been working since the Millennium Summit last year. The preliminary draft report of the panel is now public, and – surprise, surprise – global taxation is among the recommendations. But their report is much more comprehensive than just global taxation – it proposes U.N. control over all economic activity. The report is 72-pages long. The Executive Summary is enough to get the flavor of what the United Nations wants, and intends to get – one way or another ...

Kofi Annan: UN Tax Consultant

March 13, 2002 By Tom DeWeese The United Nations continues to deny that it has any intention of generating global taxes to fund itself. Remember the old kid’s line, "liar, liar, pants on fire?" Kofi Annan and his aides should quickly look for a fire extinguisher as their pants are surely blazing. In January, 2002, Edward Mortimer, Director of Communications for the Office of UN Secretary General Annan, responded to an article written by Oliver North concerning UN tax schemes. Mr. Mortimer charged that North "put words in the mouth of (Annan) that he has never said and put thoughts in Mr. Annan’s head that he has never thought." Mortimer goes on to say "the United Nations is not about to start collecting global taxes." I smell smoke! I have in my possession several reports written by UN officials which detail various tax schemes coveted by money-hungry global bureaucrats. Most ...

UN Criminal Court Threatens U.S. Soldiers In Fight Against Terrorism

February 26, 2002 By Tom DeWeese U.S. soldiers and pilots are risking their lives fighting the terrorists who killed almost 5,000 innocent Americans on September 11th. They have been using massive firepower to rain destruction down on the hide outs of Osama bin Laden and those who help to hide him. Once the evil ones are destroyed in Afghanistan, the war theater will shift to other nations that aid and abet terrorists. Our soldiers are heroes in the tradition of the Doughboys of World War I and the GI’s of World War II, who also sought to vanquish evil from the face of the earth. However, when our conquering heroes come home, rather than victory parades, they may face criminal prosecution. And they may find themselves tried for war crimes by judges from the very countries they just defeated. Such is the reality of the United Nation’s International Criminal Court ...

Science Fascists Threaten Bush European Visit

June 11, 2001 By Alan Caruba This nation is threatened by a cabal of science fascists who are determined to influence the President's decisions about issues that real science has already decided. The Earth is not warming. The liars say it is. The latest instance is the report from a National Academy of Sciences (NAS) committee purporting that human activity is inducing a warming of the planet and that carbon dioxide (CO2) must be "capped" to avoid the predicted change. It is a lie from start to finish. The panel of eleven persons, seeded with one dissident, were the same people who have been involved in advancing the greatest hoax of our times, global warming. As do the reports of the UN International Panel on Climate Control (IPCC), the NAS report relies on computer model predictions instead of the actual, known facts about the overall temperature of the Earth. Those ...

UN Seeks Global Gun Control The West is Being Systematically Disarmed

June 4, 2001 By Tom DeWeese On Thursday, May 31st, the United Nations General Assembly approved a gun control treaty that calls on all nations to work together "to prevent, combat and eradicate the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, their parts and components, and ammunition." The public face of the treaty is the lie that it is supposed to make it easier to crack down on illegal gun trafficking by helping authorities trace the global movement of all new weapons. The treaty must be signed and ratified by at least forty countries before it becomes international law. The signing period runs from July 1 through Dec. 12, 2002. The treaty would require that all new firearms be marked with a serial number and the place of manufacture. Nations would have to set up import-export licensing procedures and be required to keep records on all guns, parts, and ammunition ...

Dawn of the Era of Common-ism

By Tom DeWeese The lines used to be so clear. On the one side were free markets, free societies and openly-elected representative governments, normally defined as democracy. On the other, was the force of totalitarianism choking off individual initiative, private ownership of property and providing a ballot box with but one choice, normally defined as communism. The ideological lines were drawn as a titanic battle ensued across an iron curtain. The Western world united in a mixture of proud, independent, sovereign nations to fend off the creeping black plague that swallowed whole nations and erased their identities. In the end, the "Evil Empire" disintegrated under the weight of its own ignorance of human nature. Or did it? Conservatives hailed the victory, dispatching communism to the "ash-heap of history." Many Conservative leaders have put forth the idea that we are living in a "Conservative era," using as proof the Republican takeover ...

The Tide is Turning Against the UN

May 22, 2001 By Tom DeWeese "The United Nations, created in 1945 by the governments of the world, is being put to death by the governments of the world. No doubt there will be some more years of meetings, press releases and America-baiting on the East River. But year after year, stage by stage, the original motives, ethical purposes and hopes for world brotherhood have been so twisted or shoved aside that already the UN and its Charter barely exist at all." Since the vote was taken by United Nations members to oust the United States from the Human Rights Commission, numerous articles have been written condemning the action, but perhaps no article was more important than the one written by A. M. Rosenthal entitled "Agonies of dreams forsaken." Mr. Rosenthal's article is notable because he is a former editor of The New York Times who once covered the UN, ...

“Commonism” Replaces Communism New Name, but Same Subversion

Washington, DC - The new buzzwords in vogue include global commons, global village, environmentalism, interconnectiveness and other terms designed to suggest that the earth must be seen as a single unit in need of a global government. In reality, says Tom DeWeese in the November issue of The DeWeese Report, published by the American Policy Center, "Commonism" is the new name of Communism. "Commonism advances the idea that problems cross national and local boundaries. In that way, natural and political boundaries are conveniently overcome through treaties, legislation and policy statements, all explained as necessary for improvement of the common good." DeWeese, president of the Center, a grassroots, activist think tank, issues a warning in a lengthy expose of the new face of Communism. Citing the President's Council on Sustainable Development as just one example, DeWeese quotes its own statement of purpose that binds together more environmental protection with greater opportunity ...

Nearly Half the House Fails to Protect National Sovereignty

National Sovereignty Index Reveals Congressional Failure to Address Essential Sovereignty Issues Washington, DC - A review of the voting records of the 435 members of the House of Representatives reveals that 44% have failed to support legislation to protect America's national sovereignty. The publication of the American Policy Center's first annual edition of a National Sovereignty Vote Index was announced by Tom DeWeese, president of the Center. In the midst of the United Nation's Millennium Summit, designed to expand its role in global governance, the American Policy Center's study demonstrates that legislation to protect American sovereignty lacks the support of nearly half of the elected representatives of the American people. "This nation fought a Revolution to insure that the consent of the governed would be the basis for our national government," said DeWeese. "Today, our national sovereignty is under attack by the United Nations and legislation to protect it is ...

Mysterious Forces Walk Among Us

In June, 1979, a man walked into the office of Elberton Granite Finishing Company, in Elberton, Georgia, wanting to know the cost of building a large monument dedicated to conservation. The man identified himself only as "Mr. Christian." Once the details were worked out, the man presented plans from an unknown group of sponsors. So precise were the specifications for the monument that they had to be carried out by experts in stone and construction. When finished, the monument was a gargantuan, six-piece, 19 foot high monument composed of "Pyramid Blue Granite." Like England’s mysterious Stonehenge, the monument was calibrated to exact astronomical calibrations. The four large upright blocks pointing outward are oriented to the limits of the migration of the Moon. The North Star is always visible through an oblique hole drilled into the center. A slot is cut in the middle of the "Gnomen" stone to form a ...

No Workers In The Global Village – Just Volunteers

What was the point to all of that noise last month about volunteerism that had Bill and George and Jimmy pitchin' shovels in the ghetto? "Volunteering at food banks, working at homeless shelters, and doing other community service should be a part of learning from kindergarten through college," says the Department of Education, the National Education Association and the National School Boards Association. And they intend to have 10,000 schools signed up by June, 1998 as models of community service. Their seven-point declaration aims at "weaving a seamless web between school and society." The "Partnering Initiative on Education and Civil Society, the "front group" set up to force this nonsense down your throat, argues that the role of schools in teaching children to become citizens has been eclipsed by "talk about standards and preparing to become workers." Never mind using schools to teach children to read or write. Of course ...

Green Invasion of Churches Intensifies

Last month the American Policy Center issued a challenge to the nation's leading Christian spokesmen. We asked them to take the ball and speak out against environmentalists who are attempting to transform America's churches into their own propaganda tools. The November issue of The DeWeese Report (Vol.4,#10) pointed out that many of those behind the green propaganda drive are blatantly anti-Christian. In fact, they blame Christian teachings for anti-environment attitudes. So far there has been no visible reaction from Billy Graham, the Christian Coalition, Pat Robertson, Dr. James Kennedy, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Rev. Don Wildman, the Southern Baptist Convention or the National Evangelical Association. But the invasion goes on. ITEM: October 20, 1998 - New Your City. A forum of religious scholars, scientists and environmentalists announced a project to "put the force of world religions, from Judaism to Islam to Hinduism, behind ecological concerns." The Forum on Religion and Ecology ...

Christian Pulpits Invaded By Green Propaganda

RADICAL GREENS USE CHURCHES TO FORCE SENATE SUPPORT OF UN'S GLOBAL WARMING TREATY by Tom DeWeese The National Council of Churches (NCC) has launched a major drive to enlist Christian congregations in a massive letter-writing campaign in support of the United Nation's global warming treaty that was negotiated in Kyoto, Japan last December. The treaty must still be ratified by the U.S. Senate. The treaty has met major opposition in the Senate because compliance will force the United States to cut back on energy use by at least 30%; increase the price of gasoline by as much as 50 cents per gallon; and cause severe energy shortages and possible gas lines across the nation. The treaty is supported by a coalition of radical-left environmental groups who advocate central control of the nation's economy. Most scientists now agree that the treaty would do little to protect the environment. The National Council ...

The Pagan Roots Of Environmentalism

UPDATE ON THE WORSHIP OF GAIA "In 1985, a friend of mine went to a meeting in Boulder (Colorado), called by Jose Arguelles (leader of PAN and New Age Transformation). It was attended by over 200 people, who 'found their own space' and began by meditating and resonating (using vibrating sounds, something like locusts, he said). Participants were presented with 'a new idea,' that of seeing the earth as a living, spiritual being that could feel pain. The group was asked to tune in to the crystal matrix frequency (Mother Earth's heartbeat) and to relax. Many went into trance-like states. As people felt they were being filled with the Earth's energy, they became vocal, with sounds rising and falling rhythmically. Some swayed and some fell down on the ground and began writhing. They were then 'brought to silence.' Arguelles told the audience to concentrate on a cloud floating overhead, just ...

The Green Agenda And What You Can Do

by David Rothbard and Craig Rucker To many these days, being an environmentalist means recycling old newspapers, using cloth diapers, eating organic vegetables, driving small cars, and in general, doing everything possible to limit man's impact on the natural world. This is certainly the message being driven home in our schools, media, and popular culture as warning after warning is sounded about the need to "Save the Planet." But does this contemporary view square with the tenets of America's Judeo-Christian heritage? And if not, what should our attitude and responsibility be toward the beautiful creation that surrounds us? Actually, it only takes a brief look at the principles underlying modern environmentalism to see just how radically it stands in opposition to our basic beliefs. In every important area concerning man, nature, and the relationship between the two, Green dogma defies Biblical teaching and puts forth a pagan, New Age world ...

Commonism – The Beauty And The Beast Of Global Governance

A new spirit is hailed in the world – the spirit of Common-ism. All the major powers of the New Europe and the New Americas have entered into a political-spiritual alliance to bring about this new specter. Yesterday’s "isms" are Communism and Capitalism. The "ism" of tomorrow is Commonism. From the jacket cover of "The Coming Century of Commonism, by Philip C. Bom THE TWO MEANINGS OF DEMOCRACY "…The common use of the word ‘democracy,’ together with the contradictory interpretations of the meaning of the word, is a semantic symbol of a civil war in the heart of Western civilization, in which a fanatical equalitarian creed has been pitted against a libertarian one." Reinhold Niebuhr, 1977 "We have to develop the process of democratization in all areas – political, economic and in the sphere of reconstructing our federation. We have to move ahead democratically in all areas and this movement ...
