22 Oct Send the UN a Message!
October 24th is UN Day. This is a day when the United States is suppose to pause and consider our many blessings as a member of this international body. On this day, Governors and Mayors will issue pro-UN proclamations. There will be ceremonies to honor the UN. Let us all share a hug of unity with the rest of the world….
Or – let’s tell them what we really think of this corrupt threat to our national sovereignty and individual liberty. I have enclosed a copy of the American Policy Center’s “Declaration Of Independence From The United Nations.” APC has delivered almost one million of these petitions to Capitol Hill. Each one – signed by loyal Americans who are concerned about the UN threat. Congress and the White House have refused to act to get us out of the UN.
Well, here’s a new way to use the Declaration. On UN Day, organize your own rally at city hall or at the state capital. And read this Declaration out loud to demand your Independence from the UN. This is exactly what our Founders did with the original Declaration of Independence.
And you can even take another step in solidarity with the actions of the Founders. As part of your ceremony, have every member of the crowd that has gathered, sign the Declaration in a solemn ceremony. Let’s see how many John Hancocks we have in this country!
Be sure to make copies so that everyone can take one home for more signatures. And send the signed copies to your Mayor, your Governor and Congressman. It’s time for a renewed effort to get the United States out of the UN!
Pass this message on to as many activists and concerned Americans as possible. Let’s make this UN Day truly memorable.
You can also sign copies of the Declaration of Independence from the UN at the APC web site and it will go to leadership on Capitol Hill.
I am also enclosing a copy of my address before the Cambridge Union, a 200 year old debating society at Cambridge University in England, where I debated the issue of the UN in 2006. Feel free to make copies and pass them out at your ceremony as part of your argument against the UN. And you can get much more information about the UN at the APC website at www.americanpolicy.org/catagory/un. Feel free to use any of this material to help you build a case against the UN. Make it a day to remember!
Good luck.
