29 Mar Action Alert: Announcement

The American Policy Center (APC) is preparing a lean, mean grassroots activists alert system machine. We are ready for the educational restructuring wars and property rights assaults already underway in the 105th Congress.
We invite activist leaders to sign up for the APC alert system. Now we can’t contact everyone – it’s just not efficient. Instead, we are trying to reach those who have their own alert system. Our goal is to reach leaders who can relay our alerts to the troops in the field.
The APC alert system is compiled from two specific groups: (1) “Back to Academics” or activists fighting Goals 2000, School-To-Work (STW), Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the CAREERS Act, and the educational establishment. (2) Property rights activists who stand up to assaults launched by radical environmentalists, the federal government, and even the UN against private property rights and self-government.
APC will send alerts concerning both issues to everyone. Education and property rights activists should take action on legislation concerning both issues. There is a direct link between the radical environmentalists and the educational establishment. This agenda is financed by wealthy foundations (Ford, Carnegie, Rockefeller, Pew, McArthur) using nasty, stealth tactics, and the same double-speak, shielded by the cloak of children.
The anti-industrial “urban clusters” and agrarian villages envisioned by the greens can only be achieved through restructuring our schools, dumbing down our children, and controlling their futures with programs like School-To-Work and the CAREERS Act. This is why text books and class discussions are filled with environmental twaddle.
The Left pursues this agenda through divide and conquer, keeping us confused and off balance. Now that their agenda is in our sights, we can fight on an organized front.
APC has identified four vital issues in this battle.
· Stop renewed attempts by Bill Goodling and Buck McKeon to pass the CAREERS Act
· Pass Don Young’s American Land Sovereignty Protection Act
· Repeal School-To-Work and Goals 2000
· Spread awareness about the dangers of Sustainable Development
We can fulfill this agenda if we are organized and alert. We certainly gave ‘em hell over CAREERS last year-and won. I liked that feeling – how about you?
With your participation in the APC alert system, we will change business as usual in Washington. As the sign in the APC conference room says, “We owe allegiance to no Crown.” It’s a motto we live by and one we intend to make the 105th Congress understand. Liberty and freedom are our only goals. To quote Betty Davis, “get ready, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
