You Have Been Betrayed by Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell!

Action Alert!                Action Alert!

September 21, 2000

Yesterday, Wednesday, September 20, Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-CO) betrayed Americans everywhere.

Sen. Campbell, the sponsor of the “American Land Sovereignty Protection Act” (S. 510), STOPPED HIS OWN BILL FROM PASSING the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. He had the support. He had the votes. BUT HE PULLED HIS OWN VITAL LEGISLATION FROM DISCUSSION ANYWAY!

Purportedly, he was running scared from President Clinton’s veto pen.

This is an outrage! S. 510 is vital to protect national sovereignty and private property rights by requiring congressional approval before United States land can be declared a U.N. Biosphere Reserve or World Heritage Site.

Now it will have to wait until the next Congress, and consequently, all the hard work that pro-sovereignty Americans have done to get this bill passed will go to waste—we will have to start all over again next year…UNLESS YOU CALL SEN. BEN NIGHTHORSE CAMPBELL RIGHT NOW AND DEMAND THAT HE ALLOW THE ENERGY COMMITTEE TO VOTE ON AND PASS S. 510! They have the votes—the only thing stopping this bill is its own sponsor!

You and I have worked too hard to allow one Senator (S. 510’s own sponsor!) to sell us out!

Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell: (202) 224-5852

CALL NOW! TIME IS RUNNING VERY, VERY SHORT!
